Advice
My experience working for GE Aviation this summer was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. Throughout the course of my internship, I would often hear full time employees tell others full time members, as well as the other interns, to take the hard jobs. They encouraged us to take on the jobs that scared us, the jobs that seemed impossible, because those jobs were going to have the highest pay offs. Of course, they were correct! I volunteered to work on jobs that I knew would challenge me and push me to my limits and it was my work on those jobs that really showed who I am to those above me. The challenging tasks not only made my internship that much more valuable, but it also made it so much more fun. Saying goodbye to my projects this summer was one of the most difficult things I had to do, because I had become so invested in them. My projects had been an incredible learning experience that I'm hopeful I will be able to experience again.
So, If i had to give a piece of advice based off of my summer internship, I would tell you to take on the toughest challenge, go for the jobs that no one else wants. Because those are the jobs that will benefit you the most. Those are the jobs that will leave you wanting more.
